Putting It Together

Stuffed & Weighted Cloth Body & Limbs

8 Inch Cable Ties (4)

12 for neck

Once you have the body stuffed the way you like it, it’s time to put all the pieces together. You'll need four 8 inch cable ties and one 12" tie for the neck.

Thread the 8 inch cable ties through the seam casings in the arms and legs.

On the neck casing use the 12 inch tie.

Lay the vinyl parts out and place them where they will attach to the body.

Making sure they are in the right place.

Thumbs up on the hands

Big toes next to each other for the feet.

Hold one of the limbs so it fits up into the opening with one hand, and begin to tighten the cable tie up with the other.

There is a little groove where the tie should go on each of the pieces.

Keep it lined up inside that groove as you tighten it up and make is nice and secure.

Using your little wire cutters, clip it very short and close to the head of the tie.

Now slide the head of the cable tie up inside the casing and pull the cloth up over it, so it is covered.

Hand stitch the casing ends together to give it a nice finish.

Repeat this for all the limbs.

Attach The Head:

Thread a cable tie through the neck casing.

Keep the head of the tie pointing upward.

Hold the baby's head in place with one hand, and pull the cable tie snug into the goove and tighten it up.

Make sure it is secure, but not so tight the head will not be able to turn.

Clip it very close to the cable tie head.

Push it up into the casing and pull the cloth over it.

Hand stitch closed to finish.

Sometimes you can't get the cable tie through the casing and it gets stuck within the seam at the end. Use the handle of a small paintbrush or something similar and use it as a guide for the cable tie to pass over and move along freely.
